Cristiano Ronaldo has some work to do to catch up.

The CIES study assessed players in La Liga, the Premier League, the Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and Serie A according to six Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) -- shooting, chance creation, take-ons, distribution, recovery and rigour.

His father may be the current FIFA Ballon d'Or winner after his third triumph, yet it seems
Cristiano Ronaldo's son is in awe of his dad's great rival, Lionel Messi.
Video from Monday's Ballon d'Or gala shows four-time Ballon d'Or winner Messi affectionately greeting Cristiano Jr., patting him on the head and asking him how he is doing.
Ronaldo then calls from across the room, "He watched a video on the Internet about us and he talks about you".
He then tells his son, "Don't be embarrassed now!"
While Ronaldo appears at ease seated, when he addresses Messi, the Argentine appears to smile rather sheepishly, placing his hands in his pockets.
There has always been intense speculation that the two greatest players in the world do not see eye-to-eye. Those rumours may not dissipate with the evident affection felt by Cristiano Jr. towards Messi: voting for the Ballon d'Or revealed that Ronaldo and Messi did not nominate each other in their own top-three choices.
Last year, Spanish journalist Guillam Balague stated in his book on Messi that the pair were not friends and that Ronaldo had an extremely disrespectful nickname for his rival. Ronaldo described Balague's claim as "absolutely false" and said he had told his lawyer to take action.

The Real Madrid-man scored 57 goals for club and country in 2014 along with clinching four trophies, helping him to retain his Ballon d'Or trophy on Monday evening.
The 29-year-old beat off Messi and Manuel Neuer, receiving 37.66 per cent of the votes cast by a panel of captains, coaches and media members. Messi took second with 15.76 per cent.

Cristiano Ronaldo is in a good mood. Yeah, the Mill know what you are about to say. Look at how he acts on the pitch for goodness sake! Thumping his fists on the ground! Throwing his eyes to the heavens! Stamping his feet like a teenager who has been told that the chances of them going out on a school night are the same as those of David Cameron coming away from that chinwag with his underwear clean. But back to Ronaldo. Today he is especially happy. He’s walking around the bowels of the Bernabéu, enquiring how people’s days are going, laughing at the cleaners’ bad jokes and whistling Summer Holiday. Of course, Ronaldo didn’t pick that tune by accident. He really is going on a summer holiday. As soon as the season is over, he’ll do a week in Ibiza with the boys, a week in Madeira with his mum and sister and finish it all off with a few days in the Aran Islands studying the remains of the Bronze Age and Iron Age settlements. But back to Ronaldo and his happiness. He is particularly chirpy today because he has taken Embrace’s advice and decided to go back to what he knows, yes, Manchester United. It will cost the Glazers an eye-popping £80m but if it means they won’t have to have those protracted, platitudinous phone conversations with your man Van Gaal – Louis is the long-talker to beat all long-talkers – then it’ll be worth it.

'Sergio Agüero is better than Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Luis Suárez and Wayne Rooney'
Joe Hart has placed Sergio Agüero above Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Luis Suárez and Wayne Rooney as the toughest striker that the England goalkeeper has faced.
Hart was described by Messi as “a phenomenon” after his starring Champions League display against Barcelona but, as a goalkeeper, he knows that everything could come crashing down to earth again when England face Lithuania tomorrow.
“I could be the worst keeper in the world in one game’s time,” he said.
Hart has faced Messi and Ronaldo in the Champions League for Manchester City over the past three seasons and, as he approaches what would be his 50th cap next Tuesday against Italy, is again training alongside Rooney. It is Agüero, however, who he has regards as the “toughest” striker that he has encountered.

Love triangle: Villalon had been rumoured to be seeing Ronaldo but denied the claims

The TV beauty linked to Cristiano Ronaldo after his split from Russian Irina Shayk, is dating on-loan Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez.
Hernandez, known as Chicharito or the Little Pea, was photographed kissing and cuddling stunning Lucia Villalon at Madrid Airport as she returned from the Australian Grand Prix.
The surprise snaps, published in Spanish magazine Hola, appeared less than a monthafter she spoke out to deny reports she was dating Cristiano.
Rumours she was Irina’s replacement first surfaced after she tweeted a picture of her and Ronaldo together on their way back from the Ballon d’Or ceremony in Zurich in January.
Villalon, 26, was working as a reporter for Real Madrid’s TV station at the time but jumped at the offer of a new job as an F1 presenter with a mainstream Spanish broadcaster after she was linked to Cristiano.
She hinted she was with someone when she denied dating him earlier this month, insisting their relationship had been “purely professional” before adding: “Sentimentally speaking, I’m taken, happy and delighted.”
Cristiano’s Mexican teammate - who is expected to quit Real Madrid at the end of the season - took Villalon back home after picking her up from the airport.

On the move: Hernandez is unlikely to remain at Real Madrid after this season
The pictures - of them holding hands and kissing each other on the lips - left it clear they were more than just good friends.
It was thought Chicharito was still with his Mexican girlfriend, presenter and blogger Lety Saharan.
They began dating in 2008 and continued to see each other even after he signed for Man United two years later.
He said he was relived to feel wanted again when he completed his loan move to Real Madrid last September and hailed the fresh start as a “dream come true.”
Despite a wonder goal on only his second start for the reigning Spanish champions, he has featured little of late.

Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo could be sanctioned for his goal celebration during Sunday’s La Liga clásico, according to the president of Spain’s professional football league.
Ronaldo, not for the first time when he has scored at the Camp Nou, appeared to be urging the Barcelona fans to calm down when he struck to make it 1-1 in the 31st minute.
The Portugal captain has gained a reputation for winding up opposing fans and was widely criticised when he tore off his shirt to celebrate his successful penalty in last season’s Champions League final victory over Atlético Madrid.
“We have to be careful with provocative gestures by a player when he scores a goal or with any other provocation or conduct that could incite violence among spectators,” said the LFP president Javier Tebas. “It must be sanctioned, from a fine up to a suspension. We will look into it.”
After the death of a Deportivo La Coruña fan in fighting before a La Liga game in November, Spain’s authorities are seeking to crack down on any action by players or supporters that may be construed as provocative.

Ronaldo Doesn’t drink, smoke and haven’t any tattoos. (Very rare for a player at that level)
that is some thing very rare for Ronaldo’s level player. i don’t think any other athlete have Ronaldo’s kind of great habits.
No tattoos because he donates blood twice a year and does not want to affect that.
No drinking because his father died of alcohol abuse problems, also because he says he doesn’t want to do something that will hinder his ability to play football. Same reason behind smoking.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been accused of telling Real Madrid fans to "f--k off" during the side's 2-0 win over Levante on Sunday.
A video posted by El Chiringuito allegedly shows Ronaldo saying "fodase" after receiving slight jeers from Los Blancos fans following a missed chance. Sport indicates the Portuguese expression "roughly translates as 'f--k off.'"While Ronaldo's response to the crowd remains inconclusive, there's no doubt the sarcastic look he gives before mouthing something underlines his recent frustration. The former Manchester United man appeared irritated during the match, best highlighted after Gareth Bale tucked away a rebound from his shot, per Ed Malyon of theMirror:

Real Madrid's fifth loss in 2015 seems to have been taken by most of the Merenguesfans as the last drop in their cup of tolerance. Since the beginning of the year, the team is yet to find a working formula for their football. After that 22-game winning streak that lasted right until the end of the 2014 calendar year, Real Madrid is now on a record of 8 wins, 5 losses and 2 draws in 2015. Even though the club still holds legitimate aspirations of winning the Spanish League title and renewing their European crown in the UEFA Champions League, it's the way the team has been playing for the past few months that has been worrying the Madridismo. Cristiano Ronaldo felt that in his skin this past Tuesday and he obviously didn't appreciate much hearing all that whistling and booing from his own fans at the Bernabéu. As a consequence of that, he decided not to speak to the journalists until the season ends...
