     A Madrid derby or confirmed first ever Champions League winners – Atletico Madrid await the winners of the second Champions League semifinal between Real Madrid and Manchester City, having seen off the challenge of Bayern Munich on Tuesday.

    Manchester City will look back at the first leg with a tinge of regret and disappointment, after holding Real Madrid to a 0-0 draw last Tuesday. Playing at home, and that too against a Real Madrid side without Cristiano Ronaldo, the onus was on Manchester City to take advantage, but instead they put up a bit of a limp performance in front of goal, with Joe Hart, in the second half, needing to make some smart saves to keep the tie level.

The second leg at the Bernabeu will see Real Madrid start as the obvious favourites and with Cristiano Ronaldo passed fit for this all-important game, Manchester City have a difficult task at hand if they are to make it to their first ever Champions League final.

"Our motivation must be to reach a final which we've never done before against a great team in a beautiful stadium," Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini was quoted as saying by the club's official website. "It's important, because it's high pressure but we have the personality and the football to beat them.

"Everyone must trust in their team -- we trust in ours and I hope we can demonstrate it in the 90 minutes. We are sure we will need to make a very good performance to reach the final – it would be the first time we've reached it."

This could end up being Pellegrini's last European match as City manager and the Chilean, who is also a former Real Madrid boss, will hope his team perform a lot better than they did in the Premier League at the weekend, when they went down 4-2 to Southampton.

Real Madrid will be happy to have Ronaldo back in the lineup, after the Portuguese missed the first leg with a thigh problem. Zinedine Zidane had said he expects Ronaldo to play the first leg as well after the former Manchester United man travelled with the Real Madrid team, but, after feeling a bit of pain in training on the eve of the match, he was not risked.

This time, though, Zidane is confident Ronaldo will take his place in the starting XI for Real Madrid in their semifinal of the UEFA Champions League against Manchester City.

"Cristiano is in good shape, he is at 100%, he has trained and he is going to play," Zidane told the Real Madrid website. "Cristiano is not a risk, he is well, he is training and he is 100%. We'll see in the game, but today he is 100%.

In the first leg, Isco played there for a time after Benzema's substitution and Jese is also capable of filling that role.

The most likely attacking trio would see Cristiano Ronaldo playing through the middle as he did throughout the club's injury crisis in the autumn and most notably in the crunch group games with Paris Saint-Germain.

Indeed, a role closer to goal could even suit the Portugal skipper, bearing in mind that he isn't completely fit.

Of course, Zidane has insisted that his talisman is "100%" but he also said that last week and Ronaldo didn't even make the matchday 18, so forgive us for not getting too carried away.

Lucas Vazquez would start again, after running a mile further than anyone else in the first leg.

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo is fit to face Manchester City in the Champions League semi-final second leg on Wednesday.

The competition's all-time top scorer - with 93 goals - missed the goalless first leg with a hamstring strain.

"Cristiano is OK, 100%. He trained this morning and will be there tomorrow," said Real boss Zinedine Zidane.

City midfielder Yaya Toure also trained on Tuesday having missed the past two games with a thigh injury.

Ineligible midfielder Samir Nasri, forward David Silva (hamstring) and defender Pablo Zabaleta were absent.

Argentina international Zabaleta later said he had torn a muscle in his left calf and would be out for about three weeks.

Ronaldo, who also sat out his team's past two La Liga games, completed a full training session on Monday for the first time since being injured on 20 April.

The former Manchester United forward, 31, has netted 47 goals in all competitions this season and is the leading scorer in the Champions League with 16, one shy of his record from Real's victorious 2013-14 campaign.

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini warned his side had more to worry about than just Ronaldo.

"Cristiano will always be a different player. He scores a lot of goals and has throughout his six years here," said the Chilean, who managed Real when the club signed Ronaldo.

But he added: "I don't think Real are just Cristiano Ronaldo. We must work as a team defending and attacking. It is not just against Ronaldo but against Real Madrid."

He also stressed the Spanish side would have to contend with City's attacking threat, highlighting 28-goal Sergio Aguero.

The Argentina international was rested for City's 4-2 defeat at Southampton on Sunday and Pellegrini said: "I always say these kind of games are decided by the best technical players. We have Sergio and I am sure we will see him in a good performance."

Real forward Karim Benzema could only do running work on Monday and the France international is still a doubt with a hamstring problem.

Brazil midfielder Casemiro received a knock in Saturday's 1-0 La Liga win at Real Sociedad but is expected to face City.

      Cristiano Ronaldo’s mum has rubbished reports he has made arrangements for a second child.

     A Portuguese TV presenter claimed at the end of last year the Real Madrid star had spent Christmas in Miami so he could expand his family.

His son Cristianinho, five, was said to have been born in a private clinic in the US with the collaboration of two Mexican surrogate mums.

Proud grannie Dolores Aveiro revealed in an approved biography published in July 2014 in Portugal that she had picked the youngster up from a private hospital in Florida.

Asked at the launch in Spain of the warts-and-all book yesterday/on Wednesday if her son was going to make her a grandmother again this summer, she said: “No. Perhaps some day but not now.”

In an obvious reference to the fact the crocked forward hasn’t had a serious girlfriend since his painful split in January last year with girlfriend-of-five years Irina Shayk, she added: “It would be a miracle.”

Mum-of-four Dolores, 61, confesses in the book titled ‘Mother Courage” she tried to abort the football star before he was born.

She admits to opting for a home recipe involving warm beer and mad exercise after a doctor refused to help her interrupt her pregnancy.

She confessed when the book, written by Paulo Sousa Costa, was released in Portugal: “Cristiano told me when he found out, ‘Look mum, you wanted to abort and now I’m the one who’s pulling the purse-strings in the house.”

Dolores, who beat breast cancer after being diagnosed with the disease in 2007, diplomatically sidestepped questions about her son’s love life at the official presentation in Spain of the book at Madrid’s Silken Puerta de America hotel.

The striker, who had to sit out Real Madrid’s opening Champions League semi-final tie against Man City on Tuesday because of injury, has been linked to a string of beauties including a Mexican air hostess and Topshop heiress Chloe Green.

Dolores insisted: “I don’t listen to what they say about him.

“I’m here to talk about my book, not the women Cristiano has been linked to. But it’s not something I suffer with because he’s got to live his life.”

She added: “He’s a very good son and a person who makes sure his family wants for nothing.”

According to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Ronaldo has penned a first refusal deal with Paris Saint-Germain.

The sensational report claims Ronaldo, 31, will head to the Ligue 1 champions if a new contract with Real cannot be done.

Real president Florentino Perez wants his star player to sign fresh terms at the Bernabeu.

But Ronaldo is reportedly aware of his earning potential elsewhere and could decide to quit after seven years at the club.

United are known suitors of their former player, who left for the Spanish capital in 2009 after winning his third Premier League title.

Express Sport understands Jose Mourinho has agreed to become United's new manager this summer if Louis van Gaal leaves the club.

Mourinho, 53, is thought to be keen on signing Ronaldo if he gets the chance and the United board are already working on a proposed deal.

But PSG are willing to spend big on the Portugal international as they prepare to lose talisman Zlatan Ibrahimovic for free this summer.

Club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi is said to have agreed the deal, with Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes reporting back to Perez on the proceedings.

             A hero on the red side of Manchester, Ronaldo’s legend will only be enhanced if he denies City passage into a maiden Champions League final over the next eight days.

At 31, Ronaldo has been confronted by frequent and quite absurd notions that he is past it. A game without scoring raised eyebrows, a couple of barren matches is a disaster.

But how can it possibly be said that a man who has scored 47 goals this season - including 16 in the Champions League - is over the hill?

The current reckoning is 93 goals for Ronaldo and 83 for his Argentine adversary. You imagine he’s going to smash the 100 mark, probably next season.

So City have been warned. Ronaldo is undoubtedly going to receive a frosty reception at the Etihad but he’s no stranger to playing the pantomime villain, indeed he often thrives on it.

Cristiano Ronaldo allays injury fears with Instagram post

Cristiano Ronaldo has downplayed an injury sustained late in Real Madrid's win over Villarreal in La Liga.

The Portugal forward caused a scare when he left Wednesday's game before the final whistle limping with an apparent muscle injury in his right leg.

He walked off the field by himself at the Santiago Bernabeu at the end of Real's 3-0 victory, leaving Madrid with 10 men and worrying fans.

However, the three-time Ballon d'Or winner has posted on Instagram to reassure fans, saying: "All good. Thanks for your support."

The club said on Wednesday that Ronaldo was expected to have medical tests as a precaution.

Real Madrid's next game in the La Liga title race sees them travel to local rivals Rayo Vallecano on Saturday.

Madrid are one point behind Barcelona and Atletico Madrid with four matches left. The team is also in the Champions League semi-finals, where they face a two-legged affair with Manchester City.
